As a Black and Afghan American based in Northern California, Siahmo Newsome is the Co-Head of the DITF Department at Dear Asian Youth. She is currently enrolled in university as a political science major with the intention of becoming a lawyer. When she isn’t studying or hanging out with friends, you can find her reading a new book at the Golden Gate Park, learning a new choreography, eating something at a new restaurant, or journaling at a cafe.
